Soutache is a technique born in East Europe, in particular from Hungary, which makes decorations with a little narrow flat decorative braid, a type of galloon, used in the trimming of drapery or clothing.
Soutache began to be made of rayon and other synthetic fibers in the 20th century. The threads used to make soutache come in many colors and are often made of natural fabrics such as silk and wool.
Very quickly Soutache spread all over the world to decorate and make precious dresses.
In the last years Soutache has been used to create earrings, clasp, necklaces , wonderful full of colours jewels which remind Russian and East Europe lost world.
